M2 Audio begin production on a 2 hour long audio presentation to guide tourists through a tour of Fremantle Prison in Western Australia.
The audio presentation will be played on units manufactured in Australia and is written by Luke Donegan.

M2 On Hold service over 700 Australia Post locations nation-wide, installing Telstra approved hardware and producing high quality messages for their on hold system.

M2 On Hold service Harvey World Travel outlets all over Australia, installing OnQue - M2 On Hold's web managed on hold announcer.
Achievements
- 1989 - The start of a new era with a range of digital recorded voice announcements systems introduced to Western Australia.
- The first solar powered Tourist Radio "drive trails" in collaboration with CALM established at Narrogin, Walpole, Pemberton and more recently Kalgoorlie providing visitors detailed information and stories about the region direct from their car radio using innovative low powered transmitters.
- A multi lingual information radio system installed at Rottnest Island. Unfortunately, new management of the Island in the late '90s allowed the licenses for these systems to expire.
- Mobile Road Safety transmitters for the Main Roads Department to advise motorists of road-works in remote areas.
- Emergency information system used in Exmouth after cyclone devastation provided information to both emergency workers and the community. Personnel in the field simply called the system on their mobile or satellite phone to update details on water supplies, provisions, accommodation and weather information.
- Introduction of on hold products to Western Australia, in 1993, at that time the only Australian designed, manufactured and supported "on hold" hardware.
- 2003 Ownership of the manufacturing & export arm is taken over and new products are placed on the drawing board.
- Launch of the new version MMC On Hold product which, with added innovations, has quickly gained a reputation for superior service and quality control, becoming a "First Choice" provider in the "on hold" market as the "Australian Alternative".
- 2005 New product range including Flexicall Manager, Compact II, E-SMS and CommTrak is presented to the market.
- The E-SMS shopping page is released with a view to the retail market Australia wide.
- M2 Audio is established to continue the fine tradition of quality message production and servicing to all customers nationally.
- M2 Digital is established to handle customised software development.
- 2006 - Expanding export markets include Taiwan and the USA.
M2 Technology produces a range of innovative call answering systems which integrate with office computer networks allowing staff to manage Voicemail and SMS from their desktops.
